Tom and I continued our drive north on Interstate 35 to visit family near Oklahoma City.

We enjoyed camping on the farm where my dad grew up. The goats were eager to greet their new visitors and came running toward us. They turned and ran as soon as Hurricane Aly made a move toward them. The farm dogs were much more tolerant of her energy and invited her to swim in their pond.

Tom enjoyed fishing at the same pond where my dad fished as a kid. Aly was eager to help land the fish but was thoroughly confused when Tom threw it back.

While Tom and Aly fished, I practiced flying my drone. I even used it to make waves and "push" Tom’s lost bobber ashore after it floated out of reach.

We loved catching up with family over pizza and our leftover Texas donut. I learned more about my family’s long history on the farm as I asked my aunt endless questions. Unfortunately we were so busy visiting I didn’t take a single family picture. I guess we’ll have to visit again!
