Our third week of snowbirding in Tucson was off to a great start... until it came screeching to a halt!

Tom and I enjoyed bike rides on the Tucson Loop trail, pickleball and pool time at the KOA, and of course, many trips to the KOA dog park with Aly.

The Tucson Rodeo came to town during our third week. Tom and I aren't big fans of the actual rodeo events but we enjoy the western atmosphere. So, we donned our cowboy boots and headed over to the Dance Barn on the rodeo grounds. We had a great time listening and dancing to the live country music which, much to Tom's delight, included many George Straight songs.

More than anything, during our thrid week in Tucson we enjoyed hanging out with new and old freinds. We joined our new friends for a group Valentines Day happy hour at Guadalajara Original Grill and introduced them to the wonders of roasted Twinkies around the campfire. One of my oldest and dearest friends drove down from the Phoenix area with her daughter. We enjoyed a delicious (and healthy) brunch at Le Buzz followed by hiking in Catalina State Park. Tom and I also connected friends from Texas that arrived at the KOA near the end of the week. They joined us for happy hour at the KOA's Tierra Del Sol Mexican restaurant and we joined them for another happy hour at their campsite. That was just before the flu brought Tom's fun to a screeching halt. I enjoyed one more healthy day and long bike ride with friends then... Screech!

Tom and I both ended our third week of snowbirding in Tucson in bed with the flu. Aly still got her daily trips to the dog park but that was the extent of our fun.
